Hi Guys,

 

Please sponsor me to climb Mont Blanc, French Alps, between 15^th – 21^st August 2009.

 

In celebration of my 40^th birthday (1^st September), my wife has paid for me to climb a proper mountain, with crampons, ice axe etc, etc.

 

Mont Blanc is more than 4,800m high (that’s approx 15,000 feet in old money) and is Western Europe’s highest mountain.  With any luck, and weather permitting, I should summit in the early hours of Friday morning (20^th August).

 

I would like to use this opportunity to raise some money for St Lkes's (Cheshire) Hospice, Grosvenor House, Queensway, Winsford, Cheshire. Very sadly a colleague of mine, John Baldwin, spent his last few days there after losing his battle against cancer.

 

Please give generously in recognition of the valuable service Hospice’s provide to those who are terminally ill and to their families.
