Moonlight Colourthon 2011 · 2 July 2011

St. Luke’s Hospice provides compassionate care for people with life limiting, palliative and end of life care needs. The charity delivers individualised care to ensure dignity and to empower people to make the choices they want, from the moment they are diagnosed.

Story

This Saturday at 8pm, three generations of Mackenzie/Richardson women will be braving the tough, moonlit streets of Southend-on-Sea to raise money for charity.

Joined by thousands of other nutters similarly dressed as complete idiots, we will be donning fluroscent clothing, pipe cleaners and glow sticks, and walking a half marathon in support of St Luke's Hospice, Basildon (next to Billericay for those of you only familiar with Essex in Gavin and Stacey terms), a charity providing specialist care for people with advance diseases. St Luke's is particularly special to us because it helped to take care of my grandad, and my Granny is now part of the amazing team of volunteers who work there.

I realise I've left it ridiculously late to set up this page (as usual) but even if you can only give 50p, or even 10p, that would be amazing!

Thanks for all your support, and if you have any questions about the event or charity please feel free to ask! Further information about both the event and charity can be found by clicking on the links below.
