After a tough year last year of coping with being ill but not knowing why, mum was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease at the end of October. As much as this was a devastating blow we thought we could manage it together as a family and enjoy everyday as much as we could, hoping for a few more years! Sadly her body gave in way before we were ready on Friday 24th January. She was still full of spirit, humour and love and this was what I found hardest... so now I want to raise as much money and support the MNDA with research into the disease to improve other peoples lives in the future.

A special mention to the Cynthia Spencer Hospice, Dr Bhav, Cheryl the fab Occupational Therapist, all the nurses and Father Gerard for supporting us in her final days at home. We couldn't have done it without them. Love you mum...
