Story

In a nutshell, I'm going to be taking part in HELL RUNNER 2012. It's an off-road, 10-12mile race taking place on some of the toughest terrain trail running has to offer. Think sand, stones, mud, swamps, hills, and with this taking place in February, an added chill in the air. Sounds fun, right? Well check out this video to see what I'm in for.

Now although I need little excuse to get my running shoes on, taking part in such an event needs that tiny bit more of a reason to take part; something that will allow me to forget the pain and make it over the finish line on my own two feet. Therefore, I will be running the course to raise money for The Prostate Project, as somebody very close to me has prostate cancer - the most common, and biggest killer, cancer among males in the UK.

The Prostate Project are a volunteer-run charity who aim to raise awareness and fund research and treatment of prostate cancer. They also aid the Royal Surrey County Hospital, a leading centre for treatment of the cancer. On average, over 35,000 males in the UK get diagnosed each year. Around 11,000 go on to lose their lives.

It's cliche but every penny really does help, so whether you have £1, £10 or £100, I'd be infinitely grateful. Please do something great. Check those trouser pockets, look under the sofa cushions and tally up all those coppers in that jar.

Thanks in advance,
Morgan
