Story

Hi All!

I'd firstly like to thank you all for visiting my page, and a great big thank you to those who donated in the last appeal for Medical aid in Palestine - your efforts were hugely beneficial!

Just to give you a heads up, myself and some of the Liverpool ISOC members are climbing Mount Snowdon on the 25th October 2014 in aid of an Intensive care unit for Gaza! Grizzly weather to be expected!

So once again I am appealing directly to you guys. This time however, the situation in Gaza is a lot more desperate and pressing. Let us ignore the politics in this instance, they detract from the most important factor of all - the needless loss of human lives. Mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, brothers, sisters, grandparents, aunts... The list goes on, all of these lives destroyed beyond repair, fatalities left right and center, the chaos and the fear experienced on a daily basis is immeasurable. There is not much we can do to alleviate these atrocities for the time being, but we can make a horrendous situation just that bit more tolerable. We could potentially allow a mother not to lose her son in a life threatening medical emergency, or brother and sister to live to see another day. Unfortunately destruction has ensued and Gaza has not got the hospitals, medical equipment or medical staff needed to save these lives.

Gaza is in DESPERATE need of medical facilities and supplies URGENTLY, in order to be able to cope with the vast number of civilians with life threatening injuries. With an intensive care unit (ICU) we could care for those in a critically ill situation. Highly specialised nurses and doctors, monitoring equipment, one on one care, more beds to cope with patient intake and top notch medical treatments and pharmaceuticals, would mean that the survival rate of innocent civilians would shoot up.

So I am asking you to please consider that you are directly saving lives, it's a mammoth task as an individual but together, we can most certainly make it. Please dig deep and donate today, we are lucky enough to be here, let's give a little something back.

Thank you all,

Mounia :)
