Every day 250 people in the UK start losing their sight. With your help, we can be there when people need us most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss. Every pound you raise will help create a future where sight loss is no longer a barrier.

Story

So, this weekend we completed the 3 peaks challenge in 27.5 hours, We had a great time but my god was it tough! :-)

We all made it through largely unscathed with limbs still intact and in working order!! And it couldn't have been that bad as we're having another go next May when hopefully we'll hit our 24 hour target. Yes, we are mad - it is now confirmed!!

We are hugely grateful for all the sponsorship we have received so far and don't worry we won't be asking you for anymore cash - next time it's for free!!

Thanks very much for your support

We are Emma Butterworth, Lisa McCracken, Darren Fitt, Oliver Fitt and Richard Norton.

On August 1st 2009 our team of five will be attempting to complete the Three Peaks Challenge. For those who don’t know this entails climbing the three highest mountains in England, Wales and Scotland.

We’ll be covering a walking distance of 27 miles and a driving distance of 450 miles. And if that isn’t enough we need to complete this mammoth task within 24 hours!

“Are you mad?” I hear you cry! Well possibly yes, but nevertheless we’re ready (or we will be!) for the challenge and we’re doing it for a good cause – Cancer Research and The RNIB both causes close to our hearts.

In addition various team members have completed other fund raising events throughout the year so please dig deep and donate now.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
