Everyman is an appeal run by The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR). Every year some 10,000 men lose their lives to prostate cancer and over 2,000 others have their world turned upside down by a diagnosis of testicular cancer. These men are the reason we are fundraising for male specific cancers.

Story

A number of 'willing' participants from George House are donating their top lip to charity in Movember, the month formally known as November. The aim is to raise awareness and funds for men's health; specifically prostate and testicular cancer by growing moustaches.

George has an ambitious target of £1000, which is an equivalent of only £2 per colleague! All support is appreciated!!

As we're sure you know, Andrew 'The Boss' Moore will be embracing the challenge himself so that George can lead with it's best lip forward, along with several courageous colleagues around the building....

J P 'The Handlebar ' Gadsdon
Karl ' Baby Whiskers' Wooster
Nick 'The Cowboy' Gerrard
Mark 'Freddie Mercury ' Coleburne
Ben 'The International' Blackman
Sean ‘Hulk Hogan’ McGinty

We really want to know who else is getting involved.... so be sure to tell us, although this will become very apparent soon!

Funds raised will help make a tangible difference to the lives of others. The incidence of male cancer is rising rapidly, one man dies every hour from prostate cancer in the UK and testical cancer is now the most common cancer in men between the ages of 15-44. Despite these alarming figures, awareness among men remains low and research in this area is severely under-funded.

The links below show details of how ASDA have been involved with Everyman to date

http://charities.asda.com/everyman

http://everyman-campaign.org/
So lets continue this support within George for the charity and the guys taking part by donating anything you can.
