Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On 27th September 2009 four brave souls will be running a half marathon to raise money for the Martlets hospice.

Cancer is a big part of our world today, affecting so many families, and it is important that people at the end of their time with us are cared for with sensitivity and dignity. The Martlets is a place that provides the best possible palliative care for people and support for their families at a very difficult time.

Donations and fundraising are crucial to the Martlets as they receive limited financial assistance from the government so that is why we are doing this event to raise much needed monies for this really important resource.

All four of us have loved and lost someone to cancer and want to do something to help raise funds to help such a worthy cause. We have set ourselves a target of £2000 but don't let that stop you helping us smashing the target!
