Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

It is hard to believe marathon time has come around so quickly again, it only seems like I just finished my first.  So why do it, I for one will never set any world records, so it basically comes down to the mental challenge of completing the course.

Just thinking about this has made me reflect on those that have
the everyday challenge of remembering, thinking or performing the simplest things never mind recognizing the faces of loved ones.

This year the Alzheimer’s Society is the charity of choice for Murex
Ireland, as a team there have been cake sales, tea mornings, cycling the green way in Waterford, supporting the launch of ‘A Taste to Remember’ and I am sure many other things that individuals themselves have completed in the background.

Doing my  part I will run the Dublin Marathon proudly wearing the colours of the Alzheimer’s society of Ireland.  Yes like all charities they are in much need of support and I will gladly accept any donations on their behalf but it is also just as important that we continue to raise awareness of this wonderful charity because we never know when you or I or someone we love may need their help.  So please donate or share but most of all “Remember Those Who Cannot”.
