Flora London Marathon 2007 · 22 April 2007 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. A million thanks to everyone who supported me in this madness - and believe me, this is now a solemn promise -

I WILL NEVER ATTEMPT THIS DISTANCE AGAIN!!

Once I can walk again, I will get back to some gentle running, maybe a nice 5k or 10k but this was positively my last Marathon.  I succeeded in completing the distance, despite the ridiculous heat, and set a new PB of 6:18:36 so I can relax and know that I did my best on the day.

If you're inspired and haven't donated already, please don't forget, it's not too late to donate!  Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: I won't have to hassle you for any money, The Alzheimer's Society will receive your donation faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So, if you haven't already, please sponsor me now!

Many, many thanks for your support.
