Remember when I said "never again" after Kilimanjaro? Well guess what? If your going to attempt another climb then at least raise the stakes!!Together with my closest and dearest Kili veterans, I`ll be attempting to summit Mt Toubkal in the Atlas Mountains range (Morocco) complete with crampons and ice axe! Yes, that`s right climbing a mountain in snow and ice! I may have lost the plot this time!!
On a serious note, this will be a tough personal challenge but an opportunity to raise money for a very worthy charity. The Shell disability network has been working very closely with Action for Blind People this year and I have witnessed at first hand the wonderful work they do.
Action for Blind People is a national charity with local reach, providing practical help and support to blind and partially sighted people of all ages. Sight loss can be a daunting journey, losing some or all of your sight can be very distressing and have a big effect on your life. Action offer visually impaired people a number of services, including help with finding a job, applying for benefits, housing issues, aids and adaptations, holiday breaks and information on local services.
