RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

I am cycling mumbles to Monte Carlo alone over 1000 miles in memory of Twig (Steven Lee wood) who tragically  died at sea and to raise necessary funds for the RNLI who searched in vain for him. It was too late for him when he was recovered but hopefully raising money will help recover others. All money raised will be donated to the Mumbles RNLI station who searched for Twig (Steven Lee wood)

The ride starts with me leaving the Mumbles RNLI station at 11.00am Sunday 7th October and riding 200 miles to Portsmouth to take the ferry to St Malo France. There I will follow the Atlantic coast south and slowly head east as I get further south and ride over the Mont Ventoux a famous hill climb of the Tour de France before heading south east to Monte Carlo for the finish... totalling well over 1000 miles and I'm sure some rain.  I will be wild camping a lot as all costs of this ride will be paid for by myself so every penny raised will go to the RNLI where it's needed.

Thank you.
