Story
Never mind the Tour de France this is the Tour d'Ecosse. On the 16th and 17th of August three plucky jocks will cycle 200 miles in two days visiting four Scottish Cities in aid of Alzheimers's Research UK.
The Team - not so much Radioshak as Wireless-shed
Murray (Wiggins) Robertson
Daryl (Froome) Harper
Mark (Cavendish) Beacom
Stage 1 - Glasgow to Edinburgh taking in the picturesque views of Coatbridge and Falkirk.
Stage 2 - Edinburgh to Dundee, over the bridge through the Kingdom's towns of Kircaldy, BurntIsland and the famous St Andrews before a sprint finish into the City of Discovery
Stage 3 - On day 2 and assuming our bikes haven't been nicked we will leave Dundee for the long run up the coast to Aberdeen.
Being typical Scots we have decided to make this a real challenge by not training anywhere near enough, sports nutrition has involved eating too many pies just so we can carry some extra weight just to prove we are hard. No performance enhancing drugs have been taken though an ample amount of booze has will no doubt reduce performance.
The team will also soldier on with our individual disabilites, Murray has a dodgy leg so will be pedaling lop sided, Mark is practically blind so will be using the force and ultrasoud to see the road and Daryl is quite short so will need to pedal twice as far as the other two.
Alzheimer's is not only PageGroup's chosen charity but is very close to Mark's heart as his Mother, Gandmother and Aunt all died sufering with Alzheimer's.
