Right now, millions of children are in danger. They face violence, disease, hunger and the chaos of war and disaster. Unicef ensures more children get life-saving food, vaccinations, education and protection than anyone else. With your help, we can build a safer world for children. unicef.org.uk

Story

On 11 November 2015, Sarah Connolly and some of London's finest classical musicians united under the direction of Nicolas Nebout in a big fundraising concert for Syrian refugee children presented by Sean Rafferty.
The programme included:
Ludwig van Beethoven, Symphony No.5
Gustav Mahler, Kindertotenlieder
Malek Jandali, Phoenix in Exile (World Premiere)

Remarkable pictures taken by Syrian refugee children as part of Photojournalist Reza's project Exile Voices were also displayed on the evening. Beautiful and moving images that undoubtedly added another perspective to the music.

It was an emotional and inspiring evening for all involved and we intend to use this event to unite the classical music community behind this important cause!

Share your support on social media with hashtag #MusiciansForSyria and make a donation to make the world a safer place for children. Just £5 can provide a child with a blanket by keeping them safe and warm this winter and a donation of £11 could provide a Syrian family with an emergency water kit to help protect them from disease. Plus the UK government is now matching every donation to UNICEF UK's Syria children's appeal pound for pound!
