Hello all,
In early June 2010 I am going to hop on a train and head to Holyhead on the North Wales coast and then walk back home to Chester. Its going to be just over 90 miles. The reason I am doing this is because I was shocked to hear that you can feed a child in the Sudan, a war torn country in North Africa, FOR A YEAR for as little as £35.
Just think about that a minute. £35.
I spent more than that on a night out recently.
The St Vincent de Paul society are working to bring hope to starving children like these and this is an opportunity for you to make a real difference in someones life. You will most likely never meet these children but know that for every donation you make, you will be making a HUGE difference to their lives.
Please Please help me to make a difference here because with a relatively small amount of money we could really make a huge difference. Perhaps like me you have wondered quite what happens to your money when you have sponsored someone for something and its sometimes difficult to see what your money has done or gone towards. This is simple. For every £35 we keep an innocent child from starving to death for a year.
I know people are struggling at this time for money and anything you can give would be greatly appreciated. This is an opportunity for you to actually help save a childs life. I can't think of any greater thing to do than that.
Thanks for your help.
Chris
