Story
Afghanistan has one of the highest death rates in the world for mothers in childbirth. Selfless is working with clinicians to train midwives in rural Afghanistan, a country that currently has around 400 trained midwives.
As with all Selfless initiatives, our approach is to train women to deliver babies safely and encourage them to share their skills with others when they return to their towns and villages.
