<p>I just took part in the Asics British 10K London Run 2011 on 10/07/2011 to raise money for Anthony Nolan and I'd really appreciate your support. I completed the 10K in 58 minutes (which I find to be pretty good!!) and it was a great experience so if you think I deserve it then please sponsor me! I also really enjoyed meeting the Anthony Nolan Trust team at the post-race event!</p>
<p>Anthony Nolan is a charity that finds matches for leukaemia patients who need a lifesaving transplant.For someone with leukaemia, a bone marrow transplant can be their only hope of life. Anthony Nolan uses their register, cord blood bank and research to find remarkable people who can give them that hope by donating their stem cells. By doing this, Anthony Nolan save lives.</p>

<p>I am running in memory of my friend Tom who passed away on 30th December 2010 from Leukaemia. In September 2009 very unexpectedly he became diagnosed with leukaemia. After receiving induction chemotherapy the search began for an unrelated donor for Tom’s stem cell transplant. All international databases for stem cells donors were searched and only a single donor in Italy was found. The stem cells were harvested in Italy and sent to the United Kingdom. Tom’s transplant was successfully conducted in April 2010. However, in early September his blood parameters unexpectedly started to deteriorate and the leukaemia was relapsing.</p>
