Nicola and I are taking part in Race for Life's Pretty Muddy and also The Great Scottish Run 10K to raise money for The Christie. 

The Christie is the largest cancer treatment centre of its kind in Europe and an international leader in research and development. As of 2010 The Christie is home to the largest clinical trials unit of its kind in Europe. The Christie provides services including specialist surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, brachytherapy, palliative and supportive care and endocrinology. The hospital has one of the largest clinical trials units in the United Kingdom for phase I/II cancer trials, with around 1,200 patients going on new trials, with plans to double over the next few years to be one of largest clinical trials units in the world.
