I can confirm that I finished the race in 2hrs 9mins and recorded a new personal best for this distance. I know mum was with me all the way and I couldn't have achieved this without your support so a huge THANK YOU  to you all xxxx

I am running the Great North Run Half Marathon in memory of my mum Tina Holmes who sadly passed away last December after losing her painful battle with Lung Cancer.  I am raising funds for Greenwich and Bexley Cottage Hospice who made the last few months of her life as comfortable as possible.  Their team of dedicated doctors and nurses gave all our family the care and support to cope with her illness. They were always happy to help or listen day or night.

Your sponsorship will enable the Hospice to continue to provide expert care for their patients and the support their families need in order to cope with their loved one's terminal illness. It means so much to me to be able to do something in return as I really don't think we could have got through this difficult time without them.
