Event: Yorkshire Cancer Centre - Inca Trail Trek, on 5 October 2012
We raise funds to support patients at Leeds Cancer Centre

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have decided to take part in the 2012 Inca trail to help raise vital funds for the Yorkshire Cancer Centre.

My story goes back 22 years when there was only 1 ward for oncology patients, ward 69.  I was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma(Bone Cancer) in 1991 and had a hip and femur replacement down in Birmingham and my chemotherapy at St James's.  Several years later I was diagnosed with a Choroid Plexus Cancinoma (brain tumour) and had another round of chemotherapy.

Five years ago I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and was treated again with chemo.

I am absolutely fantastic at the moment, even after all that and feel that while I have the chance to do something really really exciting for myself, I can raise money for the centre to help others in a similar position.

Please dig deep as it really does help others

Thanks again for reading and if you would like to contact me please email at Proctern@gmail.com
