We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

Why Cancer Research UK? Because pretty much everyone knows someone living, or who lived, with cancer. However, there's no emotional, heartfelt plea here - I just like the idea of raising money to fund scientific research that's likely to help everyone, directly or indirectly. Besides, I've always said when I eventually get my hair cut I'd do it as a fundraiser, so I can't really go back on that even if I wanted to!

The time and place will not be advertised. It'll just happen at some point in the middle of April.

One last thing - upon seeing me for the first time, there is no need to point out to me that I've had a hair cut. Trust me, I'll know. If you do, I'll require an extra £5 donation :D

The Just Giving bit:

"Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity."

Thanks for looking, and if you donated, thank you again!

Nathan.

PS - the compass isn't related.
