Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On Saturday 17th April, a team of interpid NFU Mutual walkers, including all the Regional Directors, will attempt the notorious Yorkshire Three Peaks walk.

The walk consists of 24 miles and 5,000 feet of climbing and should take around 12 hours to complete. The team consists of Mark Bryant, Steve Smith John Calver, Geoff Kennedy, Martin Malone, Neil Brinsdon, Steve Grace, John Roberts, Carl Pritchard and Jason Raven (not pictured).

Team organiser Geoff Kennedy, Regional Director Scotland said, "We haven't set ourselves a time to complete the walk - just finishing it will be a triumph - especially as many of us are of 'a certain age'! The Team have been in training for the past few months and we are really hoping for good weather on the day as parts of the walk are particularly boggy and we'd hate to lose anyone along the way!"

All monies raised will be donated to our corporate charity, Make-A-Wish, and the team's target is £4,000, which is the average amount needed to buy a single wish for a child.

"We will be assisted by Joy Brinsdon (Neil's wife) and by Alex Heron, Area Manager Penrith whose experience in a Cumbrian Mountain Rescue Team may come in handy! We are really looking forward to the day and just need everyone to support us by sponsoring us via our JustGiving website!" added Geoff.
