Boy, that was tough! Had to stop three times to stretch out cramps, and the last three miles were like wading through treacle. But I made it, in 3:45, and it was a beautiful course in glorious weather. Photo to follow, and in the meantime many thanks once again for all the donations, I'm thrilled with the response to this cause.

I had a week off training with a throat infection but got back out there on Friday and feel fine. One week to go! Thanks to everyone for their support to a great cause.
I'm taking part in the Florence Marathon on 27 November, and I'm raising funds for a great charity called Magic Breakfast.
Every school day they provide free, nutritious breakfast food (bagels, porridge, orange juice and cereals) to 6,000 children in 200 primary schools. Why? Because in each one of those schools, many children arrive at school too hungry to learn.
They target schools where more than half the pupils are entitled to free school dinners (the national average is 17%). A proper breakfast improves their concentration, discipline and attainment. The charity's aim is to promote a sustainable, long-term solution, not simply to provide a sticking plaster.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thanks, Nigel
