Cystic fibrosis is an inherited disease caused by a faulty gene. This gene controls the movement of salt and water in and out of your cells, so the lungs and digestive system become clogged with mucus, making it hard to breathe and digest food.

Thanks to work being carried out with the support from the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, treatments for Cystic Fibrosis have improved and now more than half of the Cystic Fibrosis population in the UK now live past the age of 41, compared to less than 20 in 1980.

A 'cure' is just around the corner that would give thousands of CF kids the chance of a full life that everyone deserves. With the money you donate we hope that the 'cure' will come sooner. Thank you all for donating to worthy charity.
