On Friday 7th October, a slightly crazy but determined bunch of Co-operative, BAM Construction, 3DReid and Gardiner & Theobald staff, including The Co-operative Group Chief Executive Peter Marks, will abseil 10-and-a-half storeys through the atrium of our New Head Office building in Manchester. We are aiming to raise as much money as possible for our 2011 charity of the year, Mencap.
The team is being assisted by the North West Mountain Rescue team to whom a huge thank you is extended!
The Co-operative's partnership with Mencap and sister charity ENABLE Scotland aims to raise funds for the Inspire Me programme which will 'inspire 20,000 young people with a learning disability to change their world'. This will be achieved through a range of volunteering, employment and community involvement opportunities.
We are using JustGiving so that you can sponsor us easily and donations will be quickly processed and passed to Mencap.
