Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Just making this page has been so hard and I've put it off for months but the challenge is nearly upon us.....as you all know my cousin Fiona sadly passed away a week before Christmas, only diagnosed a few months prior she battled with a rare cancer of the bile duct but it was too vicious.
Me and Fi were the same age, just 12 days apart to be exact!! Sadly she was only 26 when she was robbed of the rest of her life, she was so strong and inspirational, she stayed upbeat and even though cancer took her life it didn't take her spirit and she kept smiling and chatting till the end.
As i wipe away my tears typing this all I ask for is a donation for the hospital that cared for Fiona throughout her battle, she praised the nurses and staff highly throughout her care. Fiona could always get on with everyone but she felt the staff really went above and beyond to make her feel as comfortable as possible. The staff also supported the family and helped make arrangements for Fiona's wish to go home to be fulfilled. The hospital is a specialist cancer hospital and we are hoping that with our donations we can provide something at the hospital in Fiona's memory.
So what's the challenge that's worthy of your money......a group of Fiona's family and friends are meeting up to reminisce and share stories, laughter and memories as we attempt the 3 Peaks Challenge, climbing 3 of the UK's highest mountains; Snowdon, Scaffell Pike and Ben Nevis within just 24 hours! This is no walk in the park so please donate as much as you can as not only will I appreciate it but you will be touching many families as they face their own battles with cancer supported by the legends who work at The Christie.
My target is £260.....£10 for each year of Fiona's life. Thanks in advance xxx
