Story

16 Riders, 4 support crew, 2 and a half days and 210 miles - on a bike - ouch!

What is slowly becoming an annual tradition for some is now a new challenge for others. This year, 16 riders (all Nabarro staff) will set off from Nabarro's London office on the morning of 2 September 2011 with a view to reaching Nabarro's Brussels office by midday on the 4 September.

This may sound like a walk in the park for some but let me assure you it is going to be far from it. The first leg alone will involve an aggregate altitude variation in excess of 4000 feet and the second leg will see riders travel over 90 miles in one day. Tour de France it is not but Tour de sore bum it will definitely be!

You might ask why are we doing this and I am sure most of us would say - for fun. It also serves as a useful distraction to the daily monotony that is work and provides us all with a an opportunity to do something that few others have done before or will be able to do in the fututre. Some are not so fortunate. Statistically, one in three of us will at some point in our lives be diagnosed with cancer. It is for that reason that the riders have decided to use this ride to support Macmillan and the fantastic work that they do in supporting all walks of life with the challenges faced when dealing with Cancer. Without such support the lives of many would be very different.

We're all lucky to be able to do something like this ride to benefit ourselves and others and I hope that you will support us in our cause.

So please take 2 minutes and donate some cash and support the boys, girls, ladies and gentlemen on their ride to Brussels!

Many thanks.
