Story

Assalamualaykum and JazakAllah for sponsoring me in this great cause.Yes you read correctly, I will be taking part in a 15 mile scurry from down south (...of London) to Muhammadi Trust on the 22nd Dec. Random - maybe - but with the remembrance of Aba Abdillah's (as) tragedy it provides more than enough reason to struggle.

If I see you on the side cheering me on I will try and slow down so that the camera shutter provides enough time to capture me....

But seriously there is nothing I can offer you except my appreciation. I can only inform you of the reward that is promised to those who give charity and purify their souls by someone infinitely greater than me. I can only further detail that if your contribution goes towards building a Well it will continue to convey blessings on you (sadaqa jaaria) for the generations to come that will benefit from it. Most importantly, I can mention how much your action will please the Almighty Allah (swt) who enabled you to be an intermediary in distributing the blessings of Allah (swt) to those that have been deprived of these blessings by others, in the name of Imam Hussain (as).

Water is a basic necessity for us as human beings to function and yet there are so many that do not have access to it. Maybe you, like me have always wanted to give somebody who *really* needed water this life sustaining substance. Maybe when you hear of Imam Al-Hussain (as) and his family being deprived of water and the cries of Al Atash you shed tears and wish you were there in Karbala so at least you could try and get the camp of Imam Al-Hussain (as) some water!

Unlike Abbas (as) you do not have to give your life to fetch this water. This is your opportunity to include yourself with those who give out of their wealth in the way of Allah (swt). In the name of Allah (swt) His Immaculate Prophet (saawa) and the Ahlulbayt (as) dig deep and donate to your akhira.

The Zahra Trust delivers critical aid in the war torn country of Afghanistan where over 50% of the population does not have access to safe drinking water. The Zahra Trust assists the needs of the people in Afghanistan through its Water Well creation programme, which provides essential safe clean drinking water to homes, schools, villages and mosques..
