Story
Asalaam'alaikum/Hi All,
2 Million people have been affected by a natural disaster, which has resulted in losing everything, and having a lifestyle which was never imagined by the people of Pakistan whom have been affected by the floods.
These are desperate humanitarian conditions and the MDAUK is focused on food, clothing and medicine. Many still wear the clothes they have had to Wade in Mud with and as we speak clothing is being assembled in Karachi for this purpose.
MDAUK has purchased further Medication to treat skin problems and Gastro enteritis related illness.
The feedback from people on ground is that people are spending days and nights without food. The offer of vaccination on its own, to prevent diseases, is not a priority for people who are starving and suffering with diseases that need treatment now rather than preventing something which they may not live to see.
MDAUK works on a 0% administration basis and has sustained a level of activity that has provided relief to 12 sites in the North of the country and has sustained a PMA team in the South.
I joined as a volunteer as I truly belief in this organisation. The MDAUK team are passionate, aspirational and medical professionals who can help these individuals and have such an impact on their lifes through their own humble actions.
