I was inspired to set up this page when I got the terrible news in September 2010 that my sister had been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Uganda Cancer Trust UK is a UK based charity raising money to support cancer treatment, education and care in Uganda. More than 60% of global cancer deaths occur in developing countries, where sadly only 5% global cancer resources are spent.

The money raised here will help Uganda Cancer Trust UK to:

- support individuals suffering from cancer in Uganda, where the treatment needed far exceeds their ability to pay.

- help Ugandan heath organisations to improve cancer treatment, care and education. 

- raise awareness of the growing problem of cancer in Uganda.

Cancer is a huge global problem and now kills more people than AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria combined. By working with local partners in Uganda and others already engaged in these issues Uganda Cancer Trust UK can make a real difference.
