Yeahhh we reached £300 over the weekend, a massive thank you to everyone who has donated to our charity. Still a way to go before we reach our target but we are getting there :) All donations no matter how big or small make a difference and allow Make-a-Wish to grant some amazing wishes, to some very deserving children.
On the 18th May 2014 my sister Gemma & myself are running the Manchester 10K in aid of Make a Wish foundation. Not only are we running, but we have also been allowed to run with my amazing little boy in his wheelchair....!
I am not big on running, anyone who has seen me in the gym will know i dislike exercise in general ;) This will be a challenge for me and at the same time a wonderful experience to share with my sister & my son who would never be able to compete in such an event alone.
Make a Wish foundation are an amazing charity who make very poorly children and children living with progressive and life limiting illness' dreams come true.
Maybe a child would like to be a superhero or princess for the day, visit Disneworld, swim with dolphins, drive a super car or even visit Father Christmas In Lapland....Make a wish do an amazing job of making these dream come true & allowing families who might not have long left together make these special memories.
They also provided some fun & excitement for children recovering from gruelling treatments.
As some of you may know my youngest son has an extremely rare progressive condition, H-abc a type of Leukodystrophy.
Make a wish are currently in the process of granting him a magical wish. He is extremely excited and we are very gratefull to them.
Running the Manchester 10K will hopefully raise lots of money & awarness of the amazing work make a wish do, and will enable more children to have a magical wish come true.
