I am running the Leeds 10k to raise money for Christians Against Poverty and The Sick Children's Trust (please see my other page). Anyone who knows me knows I do not run... ever! But I have set myself this challenge because these two amazing charities are close to my heart. I trained last year but an injury prevented me from racing so now I am more determined than ever to complete the race!

I've worked for CAP for over 5 years and it's incredible to see first-hand the impact that the charity is having on people's lives. CAP works through local Churches to see people released from the burden of debt and poverty. Many of our clients lived in fear, went without meals regularly and even considered or attempted suicide as the only way out from their desperate situations. Thanks to CAP, families have stayed together, parents can feed their children and lives have been saved. I'm privileged to be a part of it and am excited to be running for this great charity.
