RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

Story

***update***
Hurray!! I did it - I finished my second London Marathon, and I have the medal to prove it! ;) It was very hard, harder than I remember the first one being, and although my knee gave up on me at about mile 22, I somehow got myself to the end, and crossed the finish line in 5hrs, 41mins, 46secs.
As I start to recover, it's now all about reaching my fundraising target.  I'm not too far off, but every pound you can donate will really make a difference, and be very much appreciated!
Thanks so much for your support,

I'm trying to raise £2,100 for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution...but I'll only be able to do it with your help.  The RNLI are an amazing charity who fund a fleet of over 330 lifeboats that operate 24/7, nearly 400 lifeguards on many of the busiest beaches in England and Wales and 24 hour search and rescue services across the coasts and waterways of Britain.  The RNLI also provide a Flood Rescue team to assist in flood relief work in the UK and across the globe.

Last year, the RNLI Lifeboats rescued almost 8,000 people, that's an average of 21 people a day!!

It costs approximately £335,000 to run all of The RNLI's services, every day, all raised through donations and fund-raising events.  They receive no government funding at all, and many of the people who work for them, manning the lifeboats and putting their lives in danger to save other people, are volunteers.

The money I raise will go toward's The RNLI's Train One Save Many campagin - it costs an average of £1,000 a year to train each volunteer crew member for an RNLI lifeboat so together we can pay for 2.5 people!

So, please help me to raise this money by digging deep, and sponsoring me as much as you can.

Thanks for taking the time to read this,

Naomi x
