Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page, which we have set up to mark our wedding on 15th April.
Given that we already have more possessions than we probably need, we've decided not to have a traditional wedding list. Instead we've each chosen a charity in a field that we feel strongly about and and been deeply inspired by, and therefore would like our friends to make a donation in our name.
I have chosen the Woodland Trust, the UK's leading woodland conservation charity, which aims to both plant more British native species and protect woods, trees and their wildlife for the future. Not only do I personally feel extremely passionate about our unique, natural British woodland and its preservation, but I have spent many happy hours walking in woods and found deep inspiration expressed through much of my artwork. Only 12% of the UK landscape remains woodland (compared to a 44% average elsewhere in Europe), and of this only 40% is native woodland and an alarming 2% ancient woodland. So I hope you will dig deep to help protect the infinitely precious woodland that remains.
