Think about the cup of tea you had for breakfast this morning, or the coffee that woke you up as you arrived at the office and went through your emails...
What if that water didn’t come from the tap...and you had to walk a 3 mile round trip each day just to collect enough for you and your family to survive...Makes you think a little differently about that cup of tea doesn’t it?
We're planning on driving 15,000 Miles from Cape Town in South Africa through 13 countries, over the length of Africa and back to the UK to raise £15,000 for Lawrence's Roundabout Well Appeal.

The charity focuses on installing roundabouts in school playgrounds in various African countries, and in doing so, provides children with something to enjoy playing with, while simultaneously providing a mechanism to draw water up from the ground below. This water is then stored in a raised tank, the sides of which are then used for social and commercial advertising, which then funds the maintenance of the site and the pump. Water is then provided FREE to the school and community for planting crops and human consumption. This ensures that children stay in school, rather than fetching water, helping to break the cycle which otherwise denies each generation the chance for success.
Each pump site costs £7,500, so if we're succesful in reaching our target, 2 communities will be enjoying the benefits of these new pumps in the near future.
