Hey,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my page.
Those who are closest to me know how much this charity means to me. Those who are not close to me... This charity means a lot to me and my family. I am taking part in this run in memory of my beautiful niece, Sophie Bielby.
Little Hearts Matter offers support and information, and raises awareness of those affected when a child has only half a heart, due to conditions such as Complex Pulmonary Atresia, Tricuspid Atresia, Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) or Double Inlet or Outlet Ventricle (Univentricular Heart).
I guess it's not something we tend to think about but this is affecting too many families. I hope in raising awareness and funding, an increasing level of support can be offered to those families suffering and goals can be set to minimise the number of people affected by such conditions in the future.
I know it's unreasonable to expect a huge donation. Naturally, the more money raised, the better, but just a pound to show your support goes a long way.
I should note that... well, look at me - I'm not the fittest! Although this seems like a short distance to some, this is a real challenge.
