This is my daughter Natalia and on the 16th January she will be 9 years old. This year she struggled to write a list for Santa and realisd it was because she has everything a girl could want and there was not anything she needed. With her birthday just a few weks after christmas she decided that it would be selfish for her to accept gifts from friends and family, so she asked me if I could send her presents to children who do not have anything. Whilst we were discussing what charities we could donate gifts to, she realised that although there were children who did not have presents there were children who had even less, children who did not have food and were dying. The ability of a child to see the world in a very logical way resulted in Natalia asking why Sainsbury's would not just let them take some food if they were dying from hunger as there was so much food in the store. After explaining how poor Africa is as a country she decided to help the children who had the least. So here she is donating any birthday gifts to Action Aid, in the hope that she can do something good on the day that she was born. She knows that her birthday should still be a celebration as although she has her good fortunes I also have mine, in being blessed with a daughter with such a warm and giving heart. I am proud to call Natalia my daughter and hope that she can raise her target donation so that she can grow knowing that although there is sadness and pain and poverty in the world, there is also love and generousity. Natalia has set a target of £900, £100 for every year of her life. Please help her take one step closer to her target.

Thank you for taking the time to read her story and for making that all important donation.

Merry Christmas
