Story
If I could make just one wish for my 18th Birthday it would be for my Grandad to be here to celebrate it with me.
It probably sounds a bit strange for an 18 year old to want to spend time with an OAP...but he was no ordinary Grandad! (Those of us who were lucky enough to know him will understand).
He was so very intelligent, genuinely "magic" and relentlessly daft. He could communicate with Chimpanzees - I'm going to attach the pictures to prove it! He was a top-class hairdresser to Grandma and an outstanding artist. He could play the banjo and the harmonica and the trumpet. He could bake "delicioso" breads and cakes not to mention his superb sausage rolls and pastries....And he was the best EVER singer of "Happy Birthday toooo yoooooo"...Oh I could go on....
But unfortunately, Grandad died from Prostate Cancer.
I can't have my wish - So I thought it would be fitting to celebrate my 18th Birthday by doing a Sky-Dive to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK in Grandad's memory. That way, I hope to be able to make a bit of a difference - then I might be able to help some other Grandads be there for their little grandaughter's 18th birthday.
I've been lucky enough to book the sky-dive on MY ACTUAL 18th... which is the very first day I can do it without parental consent - (hee, hee - sorry Mum...)
Hopefully, all of my fantastically generous family and friends who were going to lavish me with sports cars, motorbikes, luxury holidays, jewellery, champagne and chocolates... and socks & pants.... (thanks Grandma) will instead donate the equivalent to this page.
PLEASE, PLEASE, donate as much as you can. I know times are tough out there after Christmas and with the state of the country's finances and so every last penny you can scrape together is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE TEXT NATZ50 £20 (or your chosen amount) to 70070
or simply click on the "DONATE" link on this page.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this... and thank you for making your donation. I hope you enjoy looking at the photo gallery below ... :)
Lots of love,
Natalie x
Ps: Did I mention that I'm a teensy bit scared of jumping out of an aeroplane at up to 15,000 feet....?
