On 19/07/14 myself and my work colleagues will be doing Europe's longest Zip Wire!! The Zip involves travelling up to 500ft above the ground over an old quarry in Snowdonia. It's over a mile long and can reach up to 100mph. Find out more here: www.zipworld.co.uk

I am raising money for Claire House as this is a charity very close to my heart. This charity helped one of my best friends through the worst time of her life...  a time no mother should ever have to experience.. losing a child.

Claire House Children's Hospice provides respite and end-of-life care for children and young adults with life limiting medical conditions and also offers care and support within the family home, as well as providing families with support and counselling.

Children are able to stay at the hospice, receiving expert care and enjoying themselves while having a break away from what can be an exhausting daily routine of care at home. This also allows families a well deserved rest from their role as carers and gives them time to focus on themselves or the other children in the family. Families can spend time together at the hospice, with staff on hand to assist with the care so that the family can spend quality time together in a home away from home. The end of life care that Claire House provides aims to make a child's last days as comfortable as possible, either in their own home or at the hospice. They offer dedicated facilities where families can be together, with dedicated medical staff and GPs on hand, and also provide practical help such as assisting with funeral arrangements or registering the passing of a child. Bereavement support and counselling is also provided to families for as long as it is required.
