Please take a moment to read the information below as to why we're raising money π°π°π°π°π°for this excellent and much needed charity.
Swindon Advocacy Movement (SAM) offers various advocacy services to adults and children who are experiencing a difficult time in their lives.
One of SAM's most successful projects was Buddies. Buddies was a social inclusion project supporting individuals and groups of people with a Learning Difficulty or Autism to be more active in their community by becoming more independent. Simple, life enhancing activities like learning the skills to arrange to meet up with a friend π«and go for a coffee βοΈ.
The funding for Buddies has now come to an end but it has been such a huge success π that we are keen for it to continue.
Action For Independence (AFI) is the new, improved Buddies and that is where we need your help to fund raise π° π° π°!!!
Individuals who have increased their independence through Buddies have agreed to become our 'independence champions' π₯. This peer to peer support is the central theme to AFI, these individuals will lead on various activities like cinema club π₯ & bowling club π³.
Your money will help SAM staff to support the "independence champions" and to reach many more people in Swindon.
Any donations will be very gratefully received whether Β£1 or Β£10. Every single penny counts π€π€ Thank you so very much!πππ
