Story
I'm running the 2020 virtual London Marathon and the 2021 'IRL' London Marathon to raise money for Shelter. 🎽👟👟
Last year, more than 1 million people asked Shelter for help, as rents skyrocketed across the country, and private landlords ran amok.
Now, the reality of renting privately as coronavirus redundancies and insecure employment hits people's earnings means more and more of us find ourselves living in squalid, unstable and dangerous conditions.
Shelter provide advice, support and legal services to people in unsafe or unfair housing. And they need our support to do this.
Pledging just the amount you might spend on a fancy coffee will help me on my way to my £2,000 target. Even if you donate just £1, 79p of that goes directly to funding services like Shelter's free, 365-day-a-year helpline, or the legal advice their solicitors give for FREE to people faced with bad housing and homelessness.
