Friends of the Mombasa Children are an incredible charity who provide holistic care for the children of Unity Freretown School in Mombasa.The charity is working towards developing a community where children have access to education, equipping them with the life skills and qualifications necessary to gain meaningful employment; enabling them to escape the restrictions of poverty. The children at the school are provided with an education, food and medical care. Without the support of the charity this would not be possible.

I had the fortunate opportunity to visit and teach at Unity School and to meet the fanatstic Teachers and inspirational children there in 2010. I have seen first hand the impact the charity has and the experiences I had on this trip have left more than a lifelong impression. However due to circumstances in my life since then I have been unable to support them in the way which I would have liked.

As a result I have decided to put my love of running to good use and aim to complete the full Worcester Marathon (my first marathon) this year raising funds to support the work of FOMC. Please donate for a charity that I know is more than worthwhile. Thank you :).
