Working Animals International is dedicated to transforming the welfare of working animals in need globally. By increasing access to skills, knowledge and resources, and campaigning for policy change, we're building a world where working animals are healthy and valued, and livelihoods are more secure

Story

On Sunday 19th August, Evie and I will take part in Horse Vets United's 32km trek, along with 149 other horse and rider combinations to raise money for the only two equine veterinary clinics in Mali and Mauritania. These two centres, in some of the world's poorest countries, are impeded by a lack of suitable equipment and facilities with which to treat the working horses and donkeys on which millions of people depend.

We are also aiming to raise money for the Disabled Riding Centre in Bamako. The centre provides orphaned disabled children, most of whom have been abandoned at birth, with much needed physical, educational and emotional support.

The 32km distance Evie and I will complete is representative of the average distance a working horse or donkey will travel each day.

All donations, of whatever size will be greatly appreciated and put towards an excellent cause! Thanks for visiting our page.
