Hi, my names Natasha and i'm doing the 10k Race for life on the 22nd of June in Crystal Palace.

The reason is because in September last year one of my close friends was diagnosed with Leukemia..

 I had never experienced anything like this before in my life, I was confused, sad and heart broken that this was happening to us! Being old enough to understand the severeness of it i was scared of what was to come!

I watched my friend over the next few months battle through the ups and downs with a constant smile on her face and a positive attitude towards it. After 34 long days in hospital going through tests and treatments, I'm happy to say she's BEATEN IT! I'm sooo proud of her words cant explain, she gone through such a battle and is still dealing with it today! You will never understand the hurt and pain cancer causes until you live it!  But the good thing that has come out of this is that i can share the story with my friends and say that she did it, it's a positive story to share. We can all sit here and say life is too short and you never know whats going to happen,But now i can say that i believe it! Out of this whole experience i can say that she's taught me anything is possible if you set your mind to it.
