Tasha's Big Ride - LONDON to PARIS for SMA

In September this year I will be embarking upon a feat beyond my personal comprehension and cycling from London to Paris in 3 days. I will be covering upwards of 90 miles a day and no doubt incurring some serious bruising to the rump, but also raising money for an amazing charity called the SMA Trust.
I haven't ridden a bike in ten years, but spurred on by 12 other intrepid colleagues at Sheffield Haworth, I’ve decided to take on the challenge. We will be setting off from the Sheffield Haworth offices on Thursday 8th September and plan to arrive in Paris on Saturday 10th.
We are taking on this MAD challenge in order to raise money for the SMA Trust, which is a charity that means a great deal to all of us taking part. Spinal Muscular Astrophy is a devastating, genetic disease and the leading genetic killer of infants and toddlers. The SMA Trust is the only UK charity dedicated solely to funding research into this debilitating condition. Scientists are making significant progress in finding a cure, for which we need your help.
I am aiming to raise £1000 towards the team’s total in order to help the SMA Trust fund the vital research they are doing into finding a cure. Please give generously to this fantastic cause; all your support in the lead up to the big ride will be massively appreciated and encouraging - no amount is too small and every contribution will help.
We will be updating regularly on our progress via twitter so please follow @sheffhaw
Many thanks for taking the time to read this and thanks also in advance for all your support.
