Story

A very amazing family I know sadly lost their beautiful daughter, Bea, in February 2014.. This special little girl is such an inspiration as are her mummy (Leigh), Daddy (Toby) and big brother (Elliott). Bea was diagnosed with Restrictive Cardiomyopathy, a rare disease of the cardiac muscle and was treated at GOSH. Bea made it to the top of the UK heart transplant list but her size, frailty and time were against her. After fighting the hardest of battles, showing strength and courage far greater than her age she could fight no more. Her heart was too tired. The team at GOSH ensured her passing was pain free and peaceful. Sadly on February 24th 2014 Bea lost her battle.

I want to help raise money for Bea's Brighter Future Fund to reach their target of £43,000 for the final portion of a Heart and Lung Bypass machine.  These machines cost a total of £166, 000. If Bea had been bigger and stronger and a heart had come along equipment like this would have been life saving. Whilst for Bea it may be too late, for others like her it is not.

When I heard about this sad news it really touched me and upset me. I have 2 young children myself and I can't imagine life without them. I don't know Leigh and Toby that well but I did work with them for a short while and they are the kindest, most genuine, lovely people I have met. They have showed such strength and courage since losing their precious little girl and I want to do something to help and support them and raise money for this important piece of equipment.
