Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

I beleive that one's knowledge & expereince is of no significance, until placed to good use for a cause which can make a difference. Volunteering and fundraising are two important aspects of how one can put their time, expereince and knowledge to good use.

I am from India & have seen water problems closely in rural parts of the country. I strongly beleive that this is an excellent initiative by the organization and I would like to contribute to it. The northern part of India jas a very hilly terrain (States like Himachal, UP, Uttrakhand & J&K) and while trekking in some of these arears, I have often seen a lot of women and children walking miles together just to fetch a few litres  of clean and usable water for their households. By participating in this initiative it could make a few of the life's easier, the effort is absolutely worth it.

In August 2018 I will be joining 99 colleagues on a 100km trek over 5 days through the ARCTIC Circle in Greenland to raise money for WaterAid. We will be trekking through the least densly populated territory in the world, Tundra and glaciers. No group of this size has ever scaled this area.  All to bring attention to this important cause.

WaterAid is a non-profit that provides access to clean drinking water and sanitation throughout the developing world. This trek is raising money to provide life changing access to water and sanitation. If we hit our fundraising target for the Arctic Challenge 2018, we will double help over 26,000 people.
