The Prince's Trust Palace to Palace 2016 · 2 October 2016 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am a keen cyclist (although not a very fast one) but not really experienced in fundraising and charitable events, so here we go! I have been meaning to combine the fun of going for a ride with something more meaningful for a while, and Oracle supporting the Palace 2 Palace Ride for the Prince's Trust offered a perfect opportunity.
For the ones of you who do not know the Prince's Trust, they are a charity that helps young people in difficult situations transform their lives. Whether it is helping in getting training or further education, preparing for a job interview or creating their own business, the Prince's Trust helps them standing on their own feet, while many of them could have otherwise ended up or stayed in poverty or even been involved in criminal activities. It's all about unleashing talent and potential, and giving a chance to people who have not had much luck in their lives. They do a tremendous job for individuals and society overall and if you want to know more before donating, have a look at their website: https://www.princes-trust.org.uk/about-the-trust . All you need to do to help the Prince's Trust to continue their great work with these young persons is to click on "Donate" and just give as much as you like. I'll do the 45 miles cycling for you ;-)
For the ones getting a bit worried looking at the 40 odd years old bikes on the picture, these are only used to tour through French vineyards and for illustration purposes. I'll have a fully functioning road bike on the 2nd of October, which should take me to the finish line before sunset.
Many thanks in advance for your help! Merci, gracias, kiitos!
