Well, I’ve gone and done it this time. After a few years of getting caked in mud in off-road races, I thought it was time to find myself a place in a nice civilised road race. Instead what I did was land a place in the London Marathon. I’m still not sure what I’ve let myself in for! Despite the nervousness that comes from entering this type of event, I am delighted to have a place and even more pleased that I will be running in aid of Independent Age. The charity does some truly excellent work in offering older people- particularly those with low incomes or who live alone- access to support, advice and companionship. This is often a forgotten part of society, but Independent Age is able to make a real difference to people who need the help. That is where you guys come in. If you are reading this then I have either sent you the link or pleaded with you in person to come and have a look, so you will know that I’m hoping to raise at least £1000 which will go some way to support the good work that Independent Age does. If you’re able to make a donation- however big or small- then it would mean a lot to me and to the people that the charity supports. So.....thanks in advance for supporting me and I will no doubt keep you posted with how the training is going over the Winter. Best,
Nathan
