Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On the 7th June 2014 I will be attempting the Ben Nevis Charity Challenge, described as a "exciting adventure race".

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

The Ben Nevis Charity Challenge. The challenge is on for teams of four to climb Ben Nevis, cycle 25 miles (on road) and canoe Loch Lochy. We have three teams raising money for this great cause.

Just so you know that I will be working hard for your generous contribution please read on......

Teams of four are challenged to climb Ben Nevis (1,343m) the UK’s highest mountain, cycle
25 miles through Highland landscapes and canoe a 3km course on Loch Lochy. Reassuringly canoe experience is not essential.

From the start point at Claggan Park in Fort William there will be a staggered start (one minute intervals) for the first section, which will be a trek to the summit of Ben Nevis.

Following the mountain descent you will return to Claggan Park and change into your cycling gear. The second leg of the challenge is a 15 mile cycle to Loch Lochy.

The third leg of the challenge is a 3km canoe circuit on the Loch Lochy.

The final stage of the challenge is a 10 mile cycle back to the finish line at Claggan Park. The route back follows the Caledonian Canal back into Fort William and again the cycle is on road.
